All persons 18 or older living in the Borough must register with the Borough for the Per Capita Tax. This is regardless of if the resident is a renter, homeowner or occupant of a home. All Landlords must report tenants to the Borough.
WHEN ARE THE REFUSE BILLS DUE?
Refuse is billed quarterly at the beginning of the quarter and due within 30 days.
WHEN IS LEAF COLLECTION?
Residents may place loose leaves on their curb for daily collection. Start date for collection varies based off of the current weather conditions.
WHEN IS STREET SWEEPING?

DO I NEED A BUILDING PERMIT TO IMPROVE MY PROPERTY OR BUILD A FENCE?
Zoning and or building permits are required for any improvements and/or new fences. The cost of the permits are $10 per $1,000 the job costs. They are available at the West York Borough Offices. UCC Building permits are available through Commonwealth Codes Inspection Services – refer to their website for specifics. http://www.codeservices.net/
WHERE CAN I GET AN APPROVED RECYCLING CONTAINER?
Approved recycling containers can be purchased at the West York Borough Offices during normal business hours for $15.00 for a small and $30.00 for a large.
WHEN IS TRASH COLLECTION IN THE BOROUGH?
Trash collection on the north side of the Borough (side of Market Street where York Fairgrounds are located), including Market Street is on Tuesdays and Fridays.
